A little floral painting for you today as I’m thinking of Spring.
Happy Thursday friends!Β π
I love the combination of pinks and greens together in this painting. π
Supplies used
watercolor paper 140 lb.
watercolor brushes, round 12, liner 2, and dagger 1/4″
Watercolors
Daniel Smith:Β green gold, permanent green, quinacridone magenta, quinacridone rose, and yellow ochre
Winsor & Newton: cerulean blue
Using the wet on wet technique, I painted shapes in clean water first then dropped in wet paint. The dagger brush was used to make some nice leaf shapes. I left white space on many leaves and didn’t fuss with the shapes.
Tips
–Β Allowing the paint to mix and mingle on the paper creates some nice results.
–Β Keep a tissue on hand for those times when you drop too much water on your paper.
I hope you are inspired to create art and do more of what you love. Thank you for stopping by and following me on this creative journey.
Until next time, share a smile and shine on!

Itβs a fun brush but it did take me a while to get used to it. Iβm loving the big round brushes these days too.

This is so pretty! Iβm trying this wet on wet technique myself but couldnβt get the paint to move around :-(. Iβll try to practice some more so I can paint like this!!
