Blooming love – line and wash

Blooming love watercolor and ink

I have a little floral happiness to share with you today. It starts with a watercolor painting and ends with ink sketching.

I hope your day is happy and bright!ย  ๐Ÿ’š

Blooming love watercolor under painting

I started out with a loose floral underpainting.ย  This watercolor has been sitting on my desk waiting for the right inspiration.

There are times when I will jump right in and start sketching after the watercolor has dried and then there are times like this…ย  I needed some time to think and make a few decisions.

Then about a month later I was ready and added the ink sketching below.

This time I decided to add some sketching and a few light doodles. Nothing over the top but enough to enhance and add some detail to the piece. I love how the ink wakes everything up.

This is one of my favorite ways to create art. I may consider creating a collection of these to offer for sale in the near future. I have gifted a few pieces of my art but haven’t tried to sell anything yet. Hopefully I will be ready to give that a go sometime soon.

I hope you are inspired to create art and do more of what you love. Thank you for following along and sharing this journey with me.

Until next time, share a smile and shine on!

  1. You always have such a nice balance in your compositions. Just the right amount of ink to make it sing! ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’• Iโ€™m excited to hear that you are thinking of selling your art! I think you will do really well. Your designs are so lovely! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’—
