I’ve tried many times to paint water lilies on the pond. I alway find painting them to be very challenging. Today I have a few practice pieces to share with you.
Happy Sunday, friends! π
A very loose attempt with this one. It has a nice softness and calm feeling.
It could probably benefit from another dark wash around the base of each flower.
Having had a few unsuccessful water lily paintings behind me, I decided to move on and leave this one as is. π
A bolder attempt this time. It took a number of washes with various dark colors to achieve this result.Β It feels like water to me and that my flowers are floating on top. Yay! π
I will continue to practice and keep on trying to paint water lilies. I hope you are inspired to play, create art, and have fun.
Until next time, share a smile and stay excellent!
