Practice and Inspiration

watercolor leaves practice

Some lovely greens to share with you today. I enjoy painting leaves and had fun with some simple watercolor practice. I’m always so inspired by the beauty we find in nature. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Thursday, friends!Β πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

watercolor leaves practice

Some playing around with different shapes and line thickness.

Painting with a lot of wet paint on the brush and then with less.

I tried some outlining with paint and kind of like that look.

Simple and fun, just trying out different styles and things that I might like to incorporate into a future painting.

More play here, using a few of the elements practiced above. I pushed it a little further creating a little pattern inside the leaves.

One of the best things I found was how relaxed I was while playing. I need to do more of that. πŸ™‚

green gold magic photo

A little green gold magic for inspiration.

A favorite pic taken a few years ago while on vacation. I am so in love with the bold color and shape of these leaves.

Another photo taken while on vacation. The shape, pattern, and color just pulls me in.Β

lily of the valley beauty photo

This last photo is from my garden last spring.

The flowing green leaves and delicate lily of the valley flowers are always so beautiful. Although blue is my favorite color, I believe green is a close second. πŸ’š

I hope you are inspired to create art and do more of what you love. Thank you for stopping by and following me on this creative journey.

Until next time, share a smile and stay excellent!
