I have a painting to share that was inspired by a recent trip to Longwood Gardens.

I started off with a bright underpainting of loose leaves.
Watercolor used: Winsor & Newton travel set
The punch of lemon lime in this painting makes me so happy. 😀
My inspiration photo – Dracaena fragrans, ‘Lemon Lime’
I’ve had quite the obsession with leaves lately and just had to paint these beauties.
Lemon Lime – 9 x 12 Canson mixed media
I used more paint and less water to keep the colors bold. To finish things off I added a little ink sketching for some fun and definition.
